Indonesia Energy Transition Dialogue (IETD) is an Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR) and Indonesian Clean Energy Forum (ICEF) initiative. IETD aims to reinforce the concept of the energy transition, including its drivers and consequences, as well as techno-economic opportunities and challenges for stakeholders in the Indonesian power sector. This event also facilitates the energy transition discourse by building a systematic approach to ensure a smooth transition for the country.
IESR is a think tank institution that actively conducts advocacy and campaigns to encourage the fulfillment of Indonesia’s energy needs that adheres to the principles of justice in the utilization of natural resources and ecological sustainability. IESR’s activities include analysis, research, advocacy in public policy, campaigns on specific issues, and collaboration with various organizations and institutions.
The programme “Clean, Affordable and Secure Energy for Southeast Asia” (CASE) is jointly implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, and both international and local expert organisations in the area of sustainable energy transformation and climate change: Agora Energiewende and NewClimate Institute (regional level), the Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR) in Indonesia, the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities (ICSC) in the Philippines, the Energy Research Institute (ERI) and Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI) in Thailand, as well as Vietnam Initiative for Energy Transition (VIET) in Vietnam.
Funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), CASE aims to support a narrative change in the region’s power sector towards an evidence-based energy transition, in the pursuit of the Paris Agreement goals. The programme makes use of available research initiatives while generating new evidence grounded in local realities that can influence economic managers, power sector decision makers, industry leaders, and electricity consumers to support early, speedy, and responsive strategic reforms in the power sector. To reach this objective, the programme applies a joint fact-finding approach involving expert analysis and dialogue to work towards consensus by converging areas of disagreement.
Furthermore, CASE is an aligned programme of the Energy Transition Partnership (ETP), an alliance of international donors, philanthropies, and partner governments established to accelerate energy transition and to support sustainable development goals in Southeast Asia.
In Indonesia, CASE is operating under the cooperation of the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas),IESR, and GIZ GmbH.

The Indonesia Sustainable Energy Week (ISEW) 2022 will be held as a hybrid event. In what language will ISEW be delivered?
The event will be delivered bilingually, in Indonesian and English. Live translation from English to Indonesian and Indonesian to English will be provided.
We will also provide a sign language interpreter (ISL) throughout the event.
How can I access the virtual conference?

How can I participate in the event at the venue?
All participants participating at the venue should require a confirmed ticket from the organizer committee for the designated date. Please follow the registration process, and indicate your intention to attend at the venue accordingly. We have limited seats every day.
